Gift for Trainers and Coaches — from the team, for the person behind them

Geschenk für Trainer:innen und Coaches — vom Team, für die Person dahinter

Coaches are the last to think of themselves. They arrive first, leave last. They count lineups, not their own effort. They remember players' birthdays, know who is injured and who needs a motivational boost.

At the end of the season, after a tournament, or upon their departure, it's the team that says thank you. And the gift should show: We put thought into it. Not five minutes before the last practice.

A personalized water bottle is the right format for this.

Why a water bottle – and not a voucher or a trophy

Trophies sit on a shelf. Vouchers are eventually redeemed, usually for something arbitrary. Flowers are gone after a week.

A water bottle goes with them. To the next practice, to the next team, to the next club. If the team's name is on it, the season's date, a sentence from the team — then the bottle carries a story. And that story remains readable even when the players have long since moved to other teams.

Coaches use water bottles daily. That's the crucial difference from a gift that just sits on a shelf.

Occasions – when the gift is appropriate

End of season The most common and obvious gift. A bottle with the team name, season, and a short message from the team. Simple, clear, personal.

Farewell When a coach leaves the club – after one year or after ten. The gift can then say more: names of all players on the bottle, the shared date, perhaps an inside joke that only the team understands.

Tournament win or special achievement A bottle as a reminder of a shared accomplishment. Date, result, team names. Not a trophy gathering dust on a shelf – an item used daily.

Birthday More personal than a voucher: Name of the coach, birth year, a sentence from the team. Short, direct, with durability.

Just because – thank you in the middle of the season Not every thank you needs an official occasion. Sometimes a particularly good practice, or a moment the team wants to remember, is enough.

What goes on the bottle

Name of the coach The minimum – but even that makes a difference from a bottle from a sports store.

Team name + season "FC Schaan · 2025/26 Season" printed directly on the bottle. Clear, simple, durable.

Names of all players Either as a list on the bottle or – even more personal – as collected signatures on a sheet that is then printed directly. The same principle as for a farewell gift for teachers.

A sentence from the team Short and direct. "Thank you for never stopping believing." or "For the person behind the tactics board." Or the coach's favorite saying, which the team knows by heart.

Club logo For clubs with their own logo: Print the logo directly on the bottle. Clean, professional, instantly recognizable.

Competition date or result "Regional Champion 2026 · 14.06.2026" – a date that remains.

The difference to a farewell gift for teachers

The principle is similar – collect signatures, add a team photo, add a personal sentence, order. The difference lies in the tone.

For a farewell gift for teachers, the child is at the center – the handwriting, the drawings, the naivety.

For a coach's gift, the team is at the center – the shared season, the achievement, the relationship between the group and the leader. A bit more mature, a bit more direct. But just as personal.

Ordering and Timing

Delivery in Switzerland and Liechtenstein in 3-5 business days. For season finales, we recommend ordering at least two weeks before the last training session – to allow time to collect signatures and review the design.

What the coach does the next day

She packs her bag for the next training session. Grabs the bottle. Sees the team name, the season, the message.

And briefly thinks about the past year.

That's the moment the gift is made for.
